We have the Accreditation from School Inspectorate which allows us to welcome schools and leisure centres. We have the french label "BIENVENUE À LA FERME/Welcome to the farm" and we are the first Educational Farm in the network "BIENVENUE À LA FERME/Welcome to the Farm" in the Languedoc-Roussillon area.
We are part of the network LIGUE DE PROTECTION DES OISEAUX/LEAGUE of PROTECTION OF BIRDS and our Farm is number 2 in the classification of the Regionl Competition of Hopes for a Rational Agriculture.

We have the status of farmer-breeders.

Our history

I was a pilot. The hazards of life and health led me to give up my career and to go back to the land. I decided to return to my first love: Nature,Plants,Animals. Three years of retraining in flower knowledge and aviculture completed my solid background in animals und plant biology.

We made the decision of converting the Family Farmhouse into an educational farm "for the children eager for space and for adults who love nature" ... and to survive.

The work was huge: 3ha of land to clear. Restoration and rehabilitation of low walls, slopes and old bridges, census of species, drawing of the botanical path, plans and implementation of enclosures for animals and obstacle course in the impassable maze of the Administrations, without mentioning the troubles with some unscrupulous suppliers.

At the beginning , I was alone with my project, no financial means , a minimum of equipment and all around general skepticism. But as I was coming along, I felt that I was inducing my family, relatives and friends. They all helped me as far as they could. Some official institutions were finally convinced of the merits of our project and perhaps also of my desire to rebuild my life.

Our Farm is completely private. We work without any financial public assistance .

Positive results.

Open to the public since the beginning of August 2000, the Farm of the Dolmen is now in its tenth year! Visit attracts all its visitors. Young and old leave the Farm excited and come back again and again to enjoy new impressions, charmed by a rich Mediterranean vegetation, by the pond which became a refuge for many birds, by the hedge composed of 15 different species of laurels which colors its banks in summer with yellow, pink, red and salmon, charmed by all animals.

Chapter 2 . The Farm of the Dolmen is for sale but continues its activity.

Serious health reasons force me to formulate the following advertisement:

For sale: Educational and equestrian farm, surface area 4 hectares, converted animal parks , luxuriant and various mediterranean vegetation, pond, toilets, box for animals, cottage, tent for reception, building permits for residential onsite. Would suit a couple of recent retired people or any other person wishing to invest in an exceptional site with many potential. 20minutes far from Montpellier, 3 minutes far from the motorway A75.
